When we grow in bigger volume, we have better control of nutrient, oxygen, and heat transfer, which results in better yield (how many grams of bacteria we get per liter of media).
So far our team managed to grow original strain (Cupriavidus metallidurans LMG1195) up to 100L!
But, we are going further and make effort to grow our own version of strain on bigger scale… Ongoing research is showing good results up to 400 mL, with a yield of 6.7 g/L. And that is just beginning…
